EMMANUEL COURCOL

After completing his actor training at the l'École Nationale des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre (1984), Emmanuel Courcol played in around thirty plays and as many films, both for the cinema and television.

Progressively steering his attention to writing, he successively co-signs the screenplays for MADEMOISELLE, L’ÉQUIPIER, WELCOME and TOUTES NOS ENVIES with Philippe Lioret. In 2012, he collaborates with François Favrat to the screenplay for BOOMERANG, after a novel by Tatiana de Rosnay (Les Films du Kiosque). Recently, he wrote TÊTE BAISSÉE with Kamen Kalev, which was coproduced by Jean Labadie (LE PACTE). Simultaneously working as consultant screenwriter, he completes his first short film in 2012, GÉRALDINE JE T'AIME (27'), produced by Polaris Film and France 2, featuring Julie-Marie Parmentier and Grégory Gadebois. In 2013, he starts writing his full-length feature, CEASEFIRE, also produced by Christophe Mazodier (Polaris Film).

In 2010, WELCOME was nominated for the best original screenplay César and won the Prix Jacques Prévert that same year.

GÉRALDINE JE T'AIME was awarded with the CNC Prix de la qualité and the Prix du Public at the Internationaal Kortfilmfestival Leuven and the Festival d'Alès Itinérances.
